LIGHT IN THE DARK

In Kherson, there is a children’s safe space, a place where kids can go during air raids, power outages, or simply to feel safe for a while.

It is a place where they can celebrate birthdays, spend time together, and try to hold onto pieces of childhood in the middle of war.

But when the power goes out, everything stops.

Lights go dark.
Activities pause.
And access to learning disappears.

We want to change that.

In partnership with Strong Because Free Foundation, led by Igor Chorniy, and with the support of the Book Fellas, we are working to provide 30 tablets for this children’s center.

Each tablet will be:

Preloaded with books from Ukraine’s digital library

Filled with bilingual reading materials. Fully charged and ready for use. A tool for learning, exploration, and comfort.

We are also working to ensure reliable access through connectivity support, so children can continue to explore, read, and learn without interruption.

These devices will remain in the safe space, available to all children who come through its doors.

Because even in the darkest moments…
