You ever wonder who makes the best tacos in the valley? Maybe it’s a restaurant or a Taco Truck or maybe it’s you! Let’s find out on March 23rd at the 1st annual TACOFEST! Registration is only $150 dollars per team! All proceeds go to benefit the over 8,000 Special Olympic athletes in the Rio Grande Valley! Join us for great food and a great cause!

Registration of $150 will cover a spot in the participants sectioned parking lot area. If you would like to have a spot inside the park at one of the activation booths that comes equipped with a canopy, shelfs and electricity, the registration fee is only $200 dollars. Note: these spots require that any BBQ pits or Griddle Grills be equipped with wheels as no vehicles are allowed to drive up on sidewalks. There are only 18 of these booths and will be reserved on a first come first serve basis.

Registration: $150 Per Team (Unlimited Members) or $200 Per Team spot inside the park at one of the activation booths that comes equipped with a canopy, shelfs and electricity

TACO COMPETITION RULES:

Three Taco Categories
- Best Fajita - Best Chicken - Best Pork - Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be given for each category. Scores will then be tallied from all three categories to award overall Taco Champion!
All taco tortillas must be CORN TORTILLAS!
- Toppings are unlimited, put whatever you want on it.
Judging Criteria: Taste - Tenderness of Meat and Presentation/Creativity of Taco
- 5 Tacos per category need to be turned in to judges.
Cooking can begin whenever you finish your set up.
- Tacos need to be turned in at three separate time slots.
  - Chicken: 10:00 AM Pork: 11:00 AM and Fajita at 12:00 PM
Results will be announced at 1:00 PM!
Size of Team is unlimited!

SET UP RULES:

Set up can be done the day before competition for food trucks and trailer bbq pits. 24 hour security is available at the park but it still will be at your own risk. We will not be responsible for any stolen or damaged items or vehicles.
