For 23 years the Center School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) has hosted the extremely popular Taste of Chelmsford event which provided an opportunity for area restaurants to showcase their most delicious dishes. As our largest fundraiser for the school, the Taste has also built an incredibly engaged dining community amongst Chelmsford and surrounding area residents.

This year we continue the new tradition of holding the Taste as a month-long raffle in March, with amazing prizes offered daily, each including gift cards or other items from Chelmsford area restaurants and local small businesses! The funds raised from the Taste Raffle Calendar will directly support the needs of students at Center Elementary School, just as the Taste proceeds always do.

Enrichment Programs funded by this initiative help to bring joy of learning to our school community,  by giving our children opportunities for exposure to cultural events they might not otherwise enjoy, as well as events that complement their in-class learning (their teachers love that too!) In the past, we’ve had the Museum of Fine Arts teach our children about various art styles and mediums, the New England Aquarium let our children play and learn in their tide pool, “Made in the Shade” performed Jazz history for our whole school, and a school favorite—Dr. Recess met all our kids to teach and play with a focus on fitness, inclusion, and conflict resolution. The Center School PTO is passionate about complementing our children’s education with awesome opportunities to learn and grow.
