TEAM MWM Trailblazers unite for 2026 Marine Corps Marathon Weekend

A community blazing trails—with and for the women who serve our Nation.

TEAM MWM Trailblazers is a Military Women’s Memorial community initiative bringing together women who served and those who support them through shared purpose, connection, and action.

Every step, every mile, and every act of support helps ensure the more than 3 million women who have served and continue to serve are seen, honored, and remembered, and their stories of service are preserved as a visible part of our Nation's history and carried forward to inspire future generations.

TEAM MWM is a movement rooted in community, active remembrance, and a shared commitment to honoring America's women patriots and their 250-year legacy of service. It's more than miles and more than a finish line. It’s a mission—one we are building together.

When you join TEAM MWM, you are joining a community driven to make a commitment to our Nation's heroes, past, present, and future.

Marine Corps Marathon Weekend

Our 2026 signature event and Team MWM Trailblazer fundraiser will be Marine Corps Marathon Weekend (October 24–25), where Trailblazers will participate in the Marine Corps Marathon, Marine Corps 8K, or virtually by participating in their own walk/run.

Our Story

For 250 years, women have served our Nation, often without recognition, sometimes without record, too frequently forgotten or marginalized. The Military Women’s Memorial, located at the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery, exists to change that.

The Military Women's Memorial, the only national memorial honoring all women who have served in and with the US Armed Forces, stands as a promise that the women who serve our Nation will never be invisible. We are building a living legacy where every woman who served and continues to serve, is honored and remembered, her service is a visible and valued part of our Nation's history, and her story and example inspire and empower the next generation of leaders.

The Military Women's Memorial is managed and operated by Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit located in Arlington, VA.

How to Join TEAM MWM Trailblazers

🏃‍♀️ Become an Athlete - Fundraiser

Participate in the 2026 Marine Corps Marathon or 8K as part of TEAM MWM.

Athlete Commitment:

$150 TEAM MWM registration contribution*
$650 minimum fundraising commitment (includes your registration contribution)

*Your participant registration contribution is eligible to be refunded to you once your $650 fundraising goal is met. Participants may choose to opt in for a refund, or by not opting in generously allow your registration contribution to remain with the Military Women’s Memorial in support of our mission.

As a TEAM MWM Athlete, you’ll receive:

20-week training plan (for beginner, intermediate, and experienced)
Coaching clinics (nutrition, race strategy, performance)
Virtual wellness sessions (including yoga)
Official TEAM MWM shirt
Fundraising support and incentives
- Prizes for top 3 Individual fundraisers and top Team.
Opportunities to connect with teammates race weekend

**As an athlete, you can also sign up for Team MWM Cheer Squad or as a Volunteer when registering.

Run your race—your way, anywhere in the world.
Go solo or gather a team of friends to honor, remember, raise awareness, and fundraise to support the Memorial and the women it honors.

Virtual Athlete Commitment:
