Help support the Special Olympics Texas Team Midland as they fundraise to continue their Special Olympics Texas Journey! HELP TEAM MIDLAND REBUILD

Team Midland is a proud part of Special Olympics of Texas and we recently suffered a heartbreaking setback when a large amount of the equipment and uniforms our athletes depend on was stolen. Unfortunately, none of the stolen equipment was recovered, leaving our volunteer-run program with the unexpected burden of replacing what was lost.

That's why we're asking our community to rally around Team Midland and help us rebuild.

Team Midland is providing athletes with special needs the opportunity to participate in sports throughout the entire year. Our athletes currently compete in softball, bocce, bowling, basketball, track and field, and golf. For our athletes, these sports mean so much more than wins, medals, and scores. They mean confidence. Friendship. Independence. Belonging. We provide a place where our athletes can challenge themselves, discover what they're capable of, celebrate one another's accomplishments, and experience the pride that comes from working hard toward a goal.

Every practice is an opportunity to grow. Every competition is a chance to shine. And every athlete deserves the opportunity to step onto that field, court, track, or lane knowing that their community is standing behind them.

Our amazing coaches are all volunteers. They give their personal time, energy, and hearts to these athletes because they believe in what they are capable of achieving both on and off the field. They aren't just teaching sports—they are helping our athletes discover their strengths, believe in themselves, build independence, and create lasting relationships within our community.

These athletes show up. They work hard, and most importantly, they remind us that when people are given an opportunity and a community that believes in them, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.

We Need Help Keeping Them in the Game

The loss of our equipment has created a significant financial need, but replacing what was stolen is only part of the challenge we face.

People may not realize that finding places for our athletes to practice is difficult, and many facilities in our community are unable to provide practice space at no cost. With Team Midland participating in multiple sports throughout the year, facility rental fees quickly become one of our largest ongoing expenses.

Every dollar has a purpose. Every donation makes a difference. But most importantly, it helps make sure our athletes continue having a place where they can belong, compete, grow, and succeed.

Donate if you can. Share our story. Tell your friends, family, coworkers, and local businesses about Team Midland. Every donation and every share helps us move one step closer to giving our athletes the resources they deserve.

It takes a community to build a team.
