My first son, Ty, should be 14 this year - the eligible age to race in a triathlon. Obviously if he had never been diagnosed with brain cancer, the TYathlon would not exist. But what if he was cured...cured from the funding of a foundation like ours? Would he be able to race by my side? Would he still be disabled from his treatments, but I would be able to help him get through it? I'll never know, but what I do know is myself, my wife, our team and our supporters will continue to work until we change that story. Please support my race and promise to Ty. T-hank Y-ou.
