Church and I have been in an "it's complicated" status for a long while now. It was and still is the actual institution, a number of the people, and a lot of the theology. My journey to being spiritual and tending my spirit looks so different than when I was in my 20s, but when I'm honest with myself - I like myself and I like God a lot more now than when I was younger. I felt profoundly alone in this spiritual space of "what's after church," then Nevertheless She Preached (NSP) showed up in my life. A gathering of amazing people who are in a "what's next" place, folx who crave a different spiritual nurturing, and ministers who throw the doors wide open, lengthened the table, and asked everyone to join. NSP is not just a conference, but a sacred space and time for so many. And for NSP to continuing offering this beautifully unique gathering, it needs financial support.
