ABOUT US

SAVING LIVES, BOTH HORSE AND HUMAN ALIKE.

HNH has officially been a 501(C)(3) since 2018, but it started with one 19 year old girl and a feral, emaciated filly in 2016. After 10 years of rescue, tears, joys and sorrows, it feels like the perfect time to take chances and celebrate!

Over the last decade, we have helped 17 animals experiencing abandonment, abuse, neglect, or the threat of slaughter find rest and refuge. Currently, 11 of those farm animals are living out their days with. Our horses, regardless of their ride-ability, provide inspiration and connection. Their stories of triumph, healing and redemption serve as our main mission at HNH: partnering with rescued livestock to create cultural change. They are the attraction and catalyst to help children and the community around them to become more equipped to handle their emotions, trials, successes and understand they have value to bring to the table. We hope every child walks away from our programs believing they are capable, compassionate and courageous, with the ability to grow with and impact the people around them for good.

Right now, we are hustling to get our herd set up before winter so everyone is happy and healthy through the cold. Fundraising for this set up and hay as a community allows us to not only expands our ability to save more animals, but also keeps our program costs affordable for the children and families we serve. As a special thank you, we have different honoree levels that will be celebrated at our gala in November! You can check out more about the project and the associated cost details and donor honors here.

On mission to restore the broken, equip children, and steward a community becoming more capable, compassionate, and courageous.
