Some gifts keep the lights on this week. This one keeps them on for the next generation.

The Light Forward Fund is Unity of Boulder's monthly giving circle, created to care for the building that holds our community and to carry its ministry into the years ahead. It is one commitment, renewed quietly each month, meant to stand alongside your regular giving rather than take anything from it.

Why now

The people are the church. But the building is where the people gather, and ours has held this community for decades. The Sunday services and the weekday classes. The meditations and the discussion groups. The quiet weekday hour when someone slips in simply needing a place to sit and breathe.

Keeping a home like that standing and open is steady, ongoing work. Roofs and windows and the systems behind the walls all age, and caring for them early costs far less, in every sense, than repairing them once they fail. The Light Forward Fund exists so that care is planned for instead of scrambled for. Not an emergency appeal every time something wears out, but a dependable stream of support that lets us tend this place with intention.

Why monthly

A single large gift is a generous thing, and a hard thing to ask and to give. A monthly gift asks less and, across a whole community, builds more. Fifty dollars a month is an easier promise than six hundred at once, and those small promises, added together, become something none of us could do alone.

It also gives the church something it has rarely had for this kind of work: a rhythm it can count on. When we know what arrives each month, we can plan the way any careful steward would, ahead of time, without worry.

Above and beyond your tithe

This is the part we most want to be clear about.

Your regular tithe or offering sustains the daily life of the church, the ministry and the staff and the programs that make every Sunday possible. None of that changes, and nothing here is meant to draw from it. Please keep giving exactly as you do.

The Light Forward Fund is something added on top. A second, separate commitment, tracked on its own, devoted to the future of this building and the ministry inside it. If you already give faithfully, thank you. The invitation is only to consider adding a small monthly gift beside what you already do. That is how a community secures its future without spending its present.

And if adding to your giving is not possible right now, that is understood completely. Your presence here is already a gift.

What your gift supports

Every dollar goes to preserving and improving the Unity of Boulder Spiritual Center and sustaining the ministry that lives within it. Gifts to this fund are kept separate from general operating support, so the progress you see reflects only what has been committed to this purpose, and nothing else.

Choosing your gift

Three monthly amounts are suggested on the giving form, with room to enter whatever is right for you.

Twenty-five dollars a month, a steady hand in the work.

Fifty dollars a month, a partner in what lasts.

One hundred dollars a month, a cornerstone gift.

There is no wrong amount. What matters is the commitment, and the community it builds.

Building it together

Every gift shows in the progress bar above, and soon on our website as well, so the whole community can watch what we are raising. This is a shared effort, and it should feel like one.

Giving safely

When you give here, your card information goes straight to our payment processor and is never seen or stored by Unity of Boulder. What the church keeps is your name, how to reach you, and a record of your gift, so we can thank you and send your annual statement. It is never sold or shared. You are always welcome to give anonymously, and you can reach the office anytime to change, pause, or ask about your gift.

If you would rather give by check, write one to Unity of Boulder with "Light Forward Fund" in the memo line. It goes to the same fund and counts toward the same goal.
