Threads of Freedom - Celebrating Black Culture, Fashion and Juneteenth!
At the heart of Threads of Freedom is the Designer Collective Showcase, running from June 10th – 26th, 2025, at Tacoma Art Museum. This curated exhibition features 10-12 Black fashion designers whose work pushes the boundaries of artistry, sustainability, and cultural storytelling. Each designer will present original creations that transcend traditional fashion—these are wearable art pieces that speak to legacy, innovation, and the slow fashion movement.
Beyond the showcase, Threads of Freedom brings the community together through immersive events designed to educate, inspire, and celebrate.
