I am climbing Kilimanjaro this September to benefit Sickle Forward. Our climbing team is raising one million dollars and it will be directly matched dollar for dollar. Funds will go toward Sickle Forward's work in Mali and Togo. Their primary focus is on newborn screening for Sickle Cell Disease. Early diagnosis is super important so low-cost and highly effective treatments can be initiated. 

SCD is a chronic, painful, debilitating illness that disproportionally affects individuals from malaria-endemic parts of the world.  Its highest rate of prevalence is in sub-Saharan Africa.

Another one million dollars will go to research and treatment of SCD in the United States. Sickle Forward is a 501(c)3; all donations are tax-deductible. Thank you for your support!
