UPDATE: (July 8th, 2026) Large-Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Cervix (LCNEC) spreaded.

Mrs. Lewis received a phone call from her radiation oncologist, Dr. Washington, at 6:01 p.m. with news she never wanted to hear.

The biopsy from last week came back positive. The rare cervical cancer has returned in another area to lymph-nodes under her left arm.

As a result, her 30 radiation treatments are now on hold while her medical team determines how to address this new finding under her arm. Mrs. Lewis entire cancer team has been notified of the biopsy results and is working together to determine the next steps.

This is the fourth time for Mrs. Lewis. She never wanted to hear the words, "The cancer is back."
Mrs. Lewis stated she's numb and lost for words. 💔

Mrs. Lewis word is; she don't have all the answers, but one things she know is God has carried her through every battle before, and she believe He will continue to carry her through this one. UPDATE: Large-Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Cervix (LCNEC) spread on (Sept 3rd, 2025)

On September 3rd, 2025, Mrs. Lewis received the unfortunate news that the Large-Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Cervix (LCNEC) has spread to her upper left breast. Since the diagnosis, Mrs. Lewis has undergone a biopsy and surgery to remove the 2 inch mass from her breast. Mrs. Lewis is currently undergoing a series of aggressive chemotherapy sessions.

As anyone whose in remission from cancer, the last news they want to receive is that the cancer has returned. This news was devastating to Mrs. Lewis.

Tonya Lewis' Care Team is asking for your help with financial support to assist with her medical & non-medical expenses once again as she undergoes chemo and medical procedures.

Unfortunately, Mrs. Tonya Lewis was diagnosed on October 31, 2023, with a rare AGGRESSIVE cancer called Large-Cell Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Cervix (LCNEC) which has been found in ONLY 70 women around the world. Mrs. Lewis is currently at STAGE 3.8 and will undergo AGGRESSIVE treatment that includes both Chemo and Radiation over the next 6 or 8 weeks, 5 days per week.
