Marko Topchii Classical Guitar Concert for Ukrainian Humanitarian Aid at Binghamton's Trinity Memorial Church

Classical Guitar Concert for Ukrainian Humanitarian Aid at Binghamton's Trinity Memorial Church Ukrainian-born classical guitarist Marko Topchii will be presenting a concert at Trinity Memorial Church in Binghamton, at 7 PM on Friday September 13 as a fundraiser for Ukrainian humanitarian aid through BlueCheck Ukraine. This concert, co- presented by the Classical Guitar Society of Upstate New York and the local organizations Together For Ukraine, the St John’s Humanitarian Fund, and the Ukrainian Congress Committee for America will be a fundraiser for Ukrainian relief. Admission is free, but concertgoers are encouraged to make free-will donations, 100% of which will go directly to BlueCheck Ukraine (https://bluecheck.in). Concert-goers are also encouraged to bring a dish to share at our potluck-style reception after the event. In 2023 Marko Topchii took the top prize in the prestigious Guitar Foundation of America competition. This season, his Binghamton concert will be the first in his 20-city tour of the U.S. and Canada. Marko’s past performances have graced some of the most esteemed venues worldwide including Carnegie Hall, the Salle Cortot (Paris) and Yamaha Ginz Hall (Tokyo). His varied program will include music by J.S. Bach, Maurice Ravel, John Dowland, Agustín Barrïos and others.
