ANNOUNCEMENT: TRANSCAT EXPEDITION DISCONTINUED

After 750 miles of relentless testing, training, adventures on the TransCat NACRA F20, and following much deliberation and attempts to minimise as much risk as possible, we have come to the conclusion that the risk levels on this expedition cannot be mitigate on an acceptable level in order to move forward safely. This is what the testing is for; to determine whether these kind of world first expeditions are indeed possible, and even though we have done our utmost to get the risk factor to a safe and acceptable standard for Chris, his team, and sponsors.

In 2026, Chris returned to continue testing with the intention of following through with the Crossing. However, after over 750 NM of gruelling testing and training under all conditions, Chris came to the conclusion that the risk levels could not be minimised to an acceptable level, and decided to discontinue the Expedition. Now he is focused on pouring all his energy and passion into fundraising part of the Expedition for the School Classroom Build and still achieve the most important goal of the project - which is the Impact and Education element.

Our Mission: Education, Conservation, and Sustainability

Chris is on a mission to make a global impact, we have a chance to help create lasting change. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to achieve two critical goals:

Build a circular economy classroom for a school in Northern Kenya through the Wordforest.org and Chris Bertish Foundation.
Plant thousands of trees in Mexico and Africa through our partners at Word Forest Organisation.

Education is always urgent. The TransCat Expedition was a call to action directed towards bringing global attention to what matters - Education, Conservation, and Sustainability.
