For 2026, Tunes for TARA is moving to a new space at Boulevard Brewing Company’s Rec Deck for a game-night experience. Enjoy unlimited Boulevard beer, flatbread pizzas, charcuterie and veggie trays, a silent auction, raffle prizes, shuffleboard, games, and music setting the vibe for the night.

This event is TARA.’s main fundraiser of the year and directly supports our lifesaving rescue work across the Kansas City area. Whether you’ve supported TARA for years and enjoy a laid-back night of giving back, or you’re new and looking for a fun, social night out for a great cause, this night is for you.

The Animal Rescue Alliance is a non-profit 501c3, all volunteer group dedicated to helping homeless pets in the Greater Kansas City area. Our organization is the result of an alliance between several rescuers in the Kansas City region who share the same goal of ending animal suffering and homelessness. Although we are foster home based, we also lease several kennels at a local boarding facility.

Although this little “shelter” is allowing us to save many more lives, it is an added expense which is why we rely so heavily on generous donations from caring people in the community.

In addition to rescuing pets from difficult situations, we offer courtesy listings in PetFinder, facilitate low-cost spays and neuterings, work on transfers and transports with existing rescue groups, help individuals and organizations promote, screen and educate potential adopters, fundraise to help pets with special needs, offer guidance and information about animal rescue, organize events and more.

It is the mission of The Animal Rescue Alliance to establish and maintain the ideals of Tara Nagel with regards to the treatment of homeless and unwanted animals.

TARA is an established 501(C)3 non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible.
