Hy Turkin is the first little league field on Staten Island, serving as the backdrop for more than 40,000 baseball games since it's inception in 1953. Surrounding structures like the dugouts, scoreboard, lights, pressbox and stands were built over time by an army of dedicated volunteers who have run the league over the past 70 years. We are now embarking on the biggest project of them all, turfing the infield and revitalizing the press box.

Once we have reached our fundraising goal and have completed work, we look forward to memorializing the memory of a man that spent his life making SILL an amazing place by dedicating the Ed Elliott Memorial Field at Hy Turkin.

Turf Turkin!
