The Manatee Arts Education Council, in partnership with the School District of Manatee County and the Manatee Education Foundation, presents Arts Alive: Manatee County's Celebration of the Arts in the spring of each school year. The purpose of Arts Alive is to demonstrate the vibrancy of the arts in our schools and community, to celebrate our successes, and honor leaders who have laid the foundation for building a community that appreciates and values the arts. In celebration of arts in our schools, a small sampling of exemplary performances in all arts forms from both traditional public and public charter schools in our district are showcased each year. We also feature outstanding student artwork made available for purchase via a silent auction. A highlight of the event is the recognition of exceptional arts education legacy leaders from our schools and community with the Arts Alive Awards.
