Years ago, our Youth Programs Director Lorjon Ali noticed how teens are often overlooked during the holiday season. She wanted to spread some holiday cheer to her teen students, so we came up with 🎄Good Tidings to Teens.🎄

Many of our Project Positive graduates have experienced trauma or financial hardship. After they complete the program, we want them to feel a bit of Christmas spirit and know that their community sees them. Good Tidings to Teens was created to do just that.

Your donation goes toward personalized gift baskets for each teen. During the Project Positive Course, Lorjon and our other facilitators create a list of students' favorites (snacks, places to eat), as well as their needs, hobbies, and goals. This list is important during their coursework and life overall, and it also helps her make their gift baskets special.

As the program grew in popularity among donors, we expanded it to include teen clients who were victims of violent crime, including those whose parents have fled domestic violence.

Your donation to Good Tidings to Teens helps these young people feel included and less alone. It sends a powerful message that they are not forgotten, especially during a season that can amplify life’s challenges.
