In fall 2024, Orpheus was invited by MidAmerica Productions to appear at Carnegie Hall—a thrilling recognition of our bold, intentional repertoire. A rehearsal video of “Yemaya Asesu” was the spark that put Carnegie Hall in our orbit.

Orpheus is scheduled to appear at Carnegie Hall on May 29th, 2027.

Founded in 2009, Orpheus Pagan Chamber Choir offers those who follow Earth-based and other spiritual traditions an alternative to the more traditional repertoire of most choirs. What began as a 15-voice ensemble debuting at Colorado’s Beltania Festival, Orpheus quickly grew into a vibrant 40-voice choir that now produces a full annual concert series: a 12th Night Yule Concert and Viking Feast, a Rite of Remembrance, and annual spring concerts that includes a Friends & Family Concert.

Taking a 40-person choir to Carnegie isn’t easy. Most choirs engaged with MidAmerica are supported by large institutions that can underwrite the expense.

We are calling on our community to help us ensure every member has the opportunity to sing at Carnegie Hall.

Here’s how you can fuel our Carnegie Hall journey:

1. Your general Carnegie Hall donation will be shared with each Orpheus member.

2. Sponsor a specific singer: You can designate a specific singer to help underwrite their expenses. Just us your singer’s name as note when you make your gift.

3. Make a gift that supports our general operating expenses that keep us singing!

The same intrepid spirit that led to Orpheus’ founding will take us to Carnegie Hall!
