Since 2020, Made for Me Books has been working to identify and distribute a greater diversity of books to students (K-12th) in and around Harlem. In 2026, we want to do 2,500 more books into at least 800 young people's homes.

We want all young people to have books at home that:

reflect their own lives and history;
provide windows into other cultures and experiences; and
illuminate authors and narratives that are not as widely available.

Please help us continue working to make sure that all of our young people are able to read about and enjoy the diversity of all of our stories.
