In 1974 Michael's dad had a life-altering pool accident, damaging his spinal cord. With death or significant paralysis as the initial prognosis possibilities, the family was incredibly grateful when dad eventually regained most function, and was left with relatively minor complications.
In 1992 that same dad had a Traumatic Brain Injury which resulted in a three week coma, and a secondary brain event- all requiring months of in-patient physical rehabilitation to regain function.
In 2019 Michael joined The Pushing Boundaries team as the Associate Director. Every day that he gets to watch miracles happen here, he thinks about what a resource PB is for those who have it, and hopes that as many people as possible can benefit from these amazing services.
