We are thrilled to announce that Watts Street Baptist Church has generously donated $75,000 toward our goal of building the Welcome Center at the Catawba Trail Farm! Their incredible support has brought us closer to realizing this vision.

Now, we are working to raise an additional $25,000 to reach our goal of $100,000 to begin construction on this project. While we know inflation has impacted the cost of goods and construction labor, your support will help bring this transformative project to life.

The Catawba Trail Farm Welcome Center is designed to enhance the visitor experience and expand our community impact. This new space will:

Provide a formal way to welcome guests to the farm.
Feature a museum showcasing the land’s history, celebrating its legacy and cultural significance.
Include a farmers market, offering affordable, fresh, locally grown produce to our community.
Serve as a versatile meeting and program space for workshops, events, and gatherings.

The Welcome Center will be located at the site of the historic Wright barn, preserving its character and history. Though the current structure is in disrepair, the new design will honor the original landmark by approximating its height, scale, material, and charm—including a refurbished R.H Wright sign.
