UCARE Winter Camp and Warming Matching-Fund Campaign 2023

Supported by the UACRC of Michigan

A generous Anonymous Donor has offered to provide up to $10,000 in dollar-for-dollar matching funds to support UCARE's Winter Camp and Warming Campaign!  Please donate today so that we can provide the children in Ukraine with a memorable camp experience.

UCARE, Inc. is partnering with Pryateli Ditej (Kyiv), Opika Majbutnoho (L’viv) and Hutzulska Spadshchyna (Vorohta) to put on a Winter Camp in Ukraine in January 2023 for 40 children – orphaned or displaced and 12 university students that are part of the UCARE scholarship program. The children will be engaged and supported emotionally, mentally and physically. They will have the opportunity to make new friendships with children in similar situations; develop relationships with mentors; play safely indoors and outdoors; participate in Workshops that teach problem solving, teamwork; reinforce their Ukrainian Language while learning about Ukrainian traditions, songs and holidays; and find support through Camp Counselors, Psychologists and art therapy. The traumas of war may be addressed in this nurturing environment.

Children will also be provided with warming supplies (coats, boots, socks, hats, mittens), which they can use and then take with them at the end of camp.

UCARE, Inc. (Ukrainian Children's Aid and Relief Effort) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Organization whose focus is the children of Ukraine, primarily those living in orphanages and internaty (government run orphanage-schools).
