United Disaster Relief of Northern California is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that assists people impacted by wildfires or other disasters, since 2017.

Our Annual Fall Match Fundraiser is here! Every dollar donated — up to $50,000 — will be matched to help complete the exterior of our new storeroom, allowing survivors to shop for essentials. Your support today goes twice as far toward rebuilding lives.

The Transformation Begins — From 1960s Warehouse to Hope Hub

When we first walked into this old warehouse, it still looked like the 1960s — the building was tired, dim, and forgotten. But where others saw walls and dust, we saw potential.

Over the last year, our volunteers and sponsors poured their hearts into transforming it into a Disaster Resource Center that’s safe, clean, and welcoming.

Power-washed outside & repainted every surface
Planted flowers, pulled weeds & restored windows
Updated electric panels, light fixtures & AC units
Added safety features — fire extinguishers, AEDs, and first-aid kits
Remodled the front reception area
Installed warehouse pallet racks
Made ADA Improvements

We've already invested over $15,000 into essential electrical and safety upgrades — funded entirely by donations and volunteer grit.

Now, we’re ready for the next big step…

Imagine a one-stop hub where every family finds what they need.

Our next mission? Finish the storeroom — the heart of our new center. Offer amenities similiar to our previous location, but all in one space. Check out this video when we first moved in. We have already completed half of these goals.

This space will include:

ADA restroom & shower
Laundry room
Food pantry
Clothing, shoes, and household essentials
Furniture & training room
Volunteer breakroom & office space

Together, it will become a one-stop hub where disaster survivors and families can regain dignity and stability.

To make it happen, we need to:

City of Ukiah to approve our permit
Trench new sewer lines
Install plumbing & electrical
Insulate and finish the interior walls

Every dollar brings us closer to completing the storeroom — a space designed to restore comfort, confidence, and hope. The great news is that our amazing volunteers and sponsors are ready to lend their skills to help complete this stage and keep costs low. If we meet our fundraising goal our aim is to finish construction by our Spring Luncheon, where we’ll proudly showcase the new Storeroom to all our supporters!
