No child should miss school, avoid an activity, or feel embarrassed because they do not have shoes or clothing that fit.

United Way of Huntingdon County created the Youth Shoe & Clothing Assistance Fund to help local children receive essential shoes and clothing when their families are experiencing financial hardship.

Thanks to a generous $1,000 investment from our Founding Partner, Shoe Sensation, this fund is ready to begin helping children identified by schools and trusted community organizations throughout Huntingdon County.

Now, we are inviting our community to help us grow the fund and reach even more children.

Donations will help provide properly fitting shoes, socks, school-appropriate clothing, coats, and other seasonal necessities.

Requests are submitted through schools and trusted community partners. This protects each child’s privacy while helping ensure assistance reaches families with a genuine need.

A new pair of shoes or clothing that fits may seem like a small thing. To a child, it can mean comfort, confidence, dignity, and the ability to participate fully at school and in the community.
