In 2009, I sat in a church library and welcomed people in to sit down and share their stories, their troubles. As a licensed professional counselor, my heart longed to help those who were falling through the cracks. Those without resources.

Having gone thru my own struggles earlier in my life, I was blessed to find caring counselors that helped me, when I needed help and had no resources to pay. That did not stop them from helping me. I vowed to "pay it forward". I overcame my own challenges, returned to school to finish my master's degree in counseling, and "hung a shingle" on the church door in Chesterfield, Michigan.

By word of mouth alone, people showed up! They shared with their friends and family, who also showed up. I became so busy, I had to hire another counselor to help. As this story continued, we became 20+ licensed professionals, all with a heart to help others, regardless of their "ability to pay". Needless to say, we moved out of that church and down the street, where we grew into two professional buildings on 3 acres of land, where we provide loving, compassionate care to ALL who enter, without regard for "ability to pay".

Don't get me wrong! We also see hundreds of others who are struggling with various issues; anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, you name it. Many of our clients are working professionals, and we bill insurance for services. We accept most insurances, to include medicare and medicaid. But we will never abandon our MISSION: TO HELP ALL, regardless of ability to pay.

The needs today are greater than ever! We can not continue our mission without your help! I don't want to ever turn someone away because their lack of resources. And I vow that I won't!

There are many people out there who are struggling and have no place to turn. We aim to be that safe space where they can receive the help they need, in person or online through virtual counseling services.
