Each winter, COMO Mobile Aid Collective supports hundreds of unhoused individuals through direct community actions, such as providing hot meals, handing out hygiene items, and supplying warm gear to help keep our neighbors in need unharmed and warm throughout the winter season.

Frostbite. Hypothermia. Sleepless nights in freezing temperatures. These are the harsh realities faced by many people living without shelter in our community. No one should have to suffer this way — and together, we can do something about it!

COMO Mobile Aid, in partnership with a collective of volunteers and Missouri’s State Surplus Warehouse, is launching a focused winter survival effort. Our goal: to get critical cold-weather gear into the hands of those who need it most — before the worst of winter hits.

With your help, we will be purchasing quality gear at dramatically reduced costs, to include:

Sleeping Bags — $3–$15
Sleeping Pads — $1–$15
Wool Blankets — $5
Winter Parkas — $15
Boots — $15
Tents — $25
Tarps — $3
Gloves, Hats, Socks — $1 each
Long Underwear, Hoodies, Fleece Jackets — $5–$10

100% of these funds will go directly to purchasing survival gear. Boots, blankets, bags, and more in the hands of people sleeping outside.

This is about meeting immediate survival needs. It’s about showing up with warmth — literally and figuratively — for those who’ve been left out in the cold.
