I am at my core a caregiver. But I didn’t come to this identity easily. I was a companion and advocate for my mother first, during her prolonged and fatal battle with cancer. I later fought alongside my sister (Ali) as she struggled with mental unwellness and substance use disorder over several years, ultimately dying by completing suicide.

These personal experiences lead me to be trained as an End of Life Doula (through both IDLM and INELDA), a Registered and Certified Trauma Conscious and Yin Yoga Guide (RYT200) and Spring Forest QiGong Practioner, as well as a Sacred Circle Facilitator through the Global Sisterhood.

For the past several years, I have been able to use these credentials and gifts to bring gentle support and presence to many audiences through Trauma Conscious Yin Yoga, Spring Forest QiGong, Sacred Femme and Women’s circles, and supportive doula care.

Thanks to an invitation from Recovery Yoga MN, I have created a mobile yoga studio to support those in recovery from substance use disorder. This partnership with Recovery Yoga has allowed me to hold tender space for, and guide those, who have entered into and are walking the tender journey of recovery from drug and alcohol dependency. A journey that my sister (Ali), and my other surviving sister (Lucy), ans well ans several other loved ones in my community continue to grow and recover through!

Your financial support will fund my ongoing personal healing, education, and mentorship by
the soft and loving sanctuary at Svalja Whole Being in Duluth. It is in this sanctuary that I have already begun their 300-hour yoga teacher training, this includes (but is not limited to):

which I have already completed.

Going forward, in the Fall of 2025 I will dive into Art of Asana. Then in the Spring of 2025, I am registered to complete my bittersweet final elective in this program: Nada + Mantra Yoga one that I am also deeply excited for though it’s conclusion will prove that my wings will be ready to be spread on out into the world. Something that I hold with gratitude but equal tenderness and humility. Along with these final two modules I have ongoing practicum assignments, that I look forward to inviting you into as well!

This training at Svälja Whole Being costs $4,550 and I would very much appreciate your support in subsiding the cost of this ongoing education and travel to and from Duluth, MN.

Any additional income received, beyond the $3,510.58, that I am carrying as a balance for my education at Svälja, will be paid forward into nurturing soft spaces. The will present in the the form of physical practice spaces - for the larger communities I currently do and those I also hope to serve and guide!
