Veterans of Valley Junction Inc. is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving as the fundraising foundation for VFW Post 8879 in West Des Moines, Iowa. Our first priority is to raise the necessary funds to build a new Veterans Event Center and headquarters for VFW Post 8879, creating a permanent home that reflects the pride, service, and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.

Beyond bricks and mortar, our mission is to build community. We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where veterans can find connection, purpose, and healing. The future Veterans Center will serve as a hub for mental wellness programs, mentorship opportunities, and peer support, addressing the unique challenges faced by those who have served in our Armed Forces.
