Veterans of Valley Junction Inc. is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving as the fundraising foundation for VFW Post 8879 in West Des Moines, Iowa. Our first priority is to raise the necessary funds to build or remodel a new headquarters for VFW Post 8879, creating a permanent home that reflects the pride, service, and sacrifice of our nation’s veterans.

Beyond bricks and mortar, our mission is to build community. We are dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where veterans can find connection, purpose, and healing. The future Veterans Center will serve as a hub for mental wellness programs, mentorship opportunities, and peer support, addressing the unique challenges faced by those who have served in our Armed Forces.
