Honoring Our Own: A Black History Celebration for Veterans

Black history is American history. And within that history are the stories of courage, sacrifice, resilience, and leadership from Black veterans who answered the call to serve.

On Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 10:00 AM, VetForward in partnership with Upstate Circle of Friends is hosting a special Black History Celebration titled “Honoring Our Own.” This gathering is more than an event. It is a moment of recognition, fellowship, and gratitude.

Our veterans have stood in defense of freedom. Many have returned home carrying experiences, strength, and stories that deserve to be heard and celebrated. This brunch creates space for connection across generations, honoring both service and legacy.

This is a free brunch for veterans and their families. Registration is required to ensure we prepare appropriately and create a welcoming environment for everyone attending.

If you are a veteran, a family member, or someone who supports those who have served, we invite you to join us.
