In 1966, a group of dedicated community members came together with a simple but powerful goal: to serve others. From that day forward, the Victoria Lions Club has been a steadfast presence in our community — improving lives, building connections, and helping those in need.

Today, as we celebrate our 60th anniversary, we reflect with pride on what we have accomplished together — and we look ahead with hope and determination toward the future. This year, we are honored to recognize Jerry Schmieg, Dave Williams and Vern Buller for their 50+ years of service and unwavering commitment to our mission.

Your contribution will celebrate their legacy and support the programs and initiatives that define who we are and help ensure our legacy continues strong into the future.

A Proud History of Service

For six decades, the Victoria Lions have been committed to enhancing our community through hands-on service and compassionate giving. Because of the generosity of people like you, we’ve been able to make a lasting difference. This year alone, the Victoria Lions Foundation will donate over $125,000 to programs that make a real difference in people’s lives.

We support initiatives that promote Mental Health and Wellness, including programs that reduce isolation, build resilience, and provide access to care. We champion Vision health through screenings, education, and assistance for those with visual impairments.

Through our Military Support efforts, we recognize and assist active service members, veterans, and their families, offering appreciation and tangible help to those who have served our nation.

We invest in Youth Programs for individuals under age 21 to build leadership, encourage service, and award educational scholarships. In times of crisis, we assist with Disaster Relief efforts that restore safety and stability to affected families and communities.

Our Senior Support initiatives help older adults maintain dignity, independence, and community connection. We also promote awareness, prevention, and management of Diabetes through education and wellness activities.

In the fight against Hunger, we assist local nutritional programs, food shelves, and congregate dining services to ensure that all residents have access to healthy meals. Finally, we stand with families facing Childhood Cancer by supporting treatment resources, family care, and community awareness programs.
