Our Rescue is in Haskell County, Texas, where there is no other rescues, shelters or resources for animals. Not in our county, and not for 7 counties around us. That puts a lot of pressure on us.

So you can imagine how bad our area is for animals. A big part is that over population, there is no low cost fixing, and many people won’t do it unless somebody else does it for them. Some don’t even believe in it. For the people that do, I will do whatever I can to help!

if we want to do low cost fixing instead of paying full price out of Vet, we have to go over an hour. Most places, as one to three hours away. For Emergency vet, specialists, picking up animals in need of help, adoptions, and transport.

Both me and Bobby, Fiancé who helps me do the Rescue. Our cars are not reliable. And we cannot afford to run them into dirt. So sometimes animals won’t get the help that they need. That isn’t fair. I have pretty chronic health issues, we also care for my dying, dad. And my fiancé‘s kids live three hours away. We need our cars for that. For mine and my dad‘s appointment, to make sure we get and see his kids frequently.

I want to be able to give the animals what they need. I don’t ever want them to fail because I don’t have something. One time a cat needed emergency care but Bobby’s truck was broken and mine isn’t stable. It doesn’t even have AC and it has alignment issues. I still took the cat in my car. Knowing that is very likely that I could have been put in a very dangerous situation, left out in the streets of my own. Not knowing almost anyone here because we just moved here. But I didn’t want the cat to die.

I will do whatever I can for the animals. We raised 2,200 towards a vechile in my prior birthday fundraiser. And I will be reaching out to places to see if they would give us a discount for being a nonprofit. It would be a tax write off for them. If we end up with extra we will put it towards everyday needs and vet care.
