For the past seven years, Capital Ice Cream—"Happy Place in Hartford"—has been more than just an ice cream shop; it’s been a community hub built on warmth, love, and connection. Maybe it’s the teacher in me or my southern roots, but my mission has always been to serve more than just sweet treats, but to create a positive space where people connect, support, learn, and grow together! Through meaningful events and shared moments, my hope is that every visitor leaves Capital Ice Cream, feeling appreciated, joyful, inspired and like family. Together we’ve built something special here and I can't wait to do more!

As a small business, we know that to survive and thrive, we must grow, adapt, and find new ways to serve our customers. The truth is running a brick-and-mortar ice cream shop in the North is challenging. The colder weather forces us to close for months at a time, making it difficult to sustain our business year-round. That’s why we need to expand our business model by adding an ice cream truck (the one pictured is just a fun example)—allowing us to generate revenue beyond our store, reach new customers, and create more/larger opportunities to serve our community and beyond. Ultimately, by doing so, we will be able to maximize revenue in peak seasons allowing us to better navigate seasonal slowdowns ensuring that our business remains strong even during the colder months when ice cream sales naturally decline.

Why An Ice Cream Truck?

An ice cream truck would be more than just a fun addition—it would be game-changer for our business! With this expansion, we will be able to:
