Hurricane Helene has left devastating impacts on our mountain communities.

Many families are still without power, clean running water, or access to consistent resources.

There are midwives, doulas, and postpartum workers all throughout these mountain hollers that are answering the call and continuing to serve these families despite not being paid for the care they are providing.

With many of their clients relocating or being unable to afford previously signed contracts, local birthworkers have lost a significant amount of income. Some of them remain without power and still face communication/logistical challenges of their own.

This fundraiser aims to help our local birthworkers secure the resources they need to continue serving these mountain families.

Raised Funds will be used to help pay for things like:

-Covering the cost of midwifery and doula care for families that can not afford it

-Supporting families directly with financial needs related to birth and postpartum

-The distribution of nourishing postpartum meals and care packages
