This Mother’s Day, we honor my daughter, an extraordinary young women whose light continues to shine through Lauren’s Legacy Scholarship Foundation. We hold space for all mothers who have experienced the deep loss of a child whose love endures beyond the veil of time. This campaign is for them -for us- and for the futures we are building in their memory.

Lauren was a force of nature: a proud Spelman College graduate (c/o 2020 cum laude), a courageous voice, and a radiant soul who lifted everyone around her. In her 25 years, she lived with unwavering passion and profound belief in education and its transformative power.

Too often, systemic inequities- like financial hardship, and limited access to resouces - stand in the way of these young women achieving their dreams. This is unacceptable. We cannot afford to lose their brilliance, their leadership, or their unique contributions to the world.

Thats why Lauren’s Legacy Scholarship Foundation exists: to break down barriers and uplift the next generation of confident, resilient, and compassionate leaders.

We’re raising $10,000 by May 31st,2025, to award FOUR $2500 scholarships this fall.
