Founded in 2010, Women’s Voices Now envisions a culture shift that supports the systematic advancement of girls' and women's rights. We work to realize this vision through our three core programs:

Our annual women's rights documentary film festival supporting emerging documentary filmmakers by providing cash prizes, awards, visibility and connections to film industry professionals. Since 2011, we have received nearly 1,300 film submissions from 94 countries, and we have awarded $143,000 in cash prizes.
Our youth development program through filmmaking, Girls’ Voices Now. Since 2018, we have served 104 girls from under-resourced communities and produced 28 youth-made short films. Films produced in this program are screened around the world, have gone on to win festival awards, and even a Daytime Emmy!
A free online collection, Voices for Change, featuring 260+ films in 44 different languages about women’s and girls’ stories and rights globally. We partner with local organizations to co-facilitate 145+ in-person and virtual screening events and conversations in 15+ countries with 50+ field partners, including universities, nonprofit organizations and international organizations. We also promote these films for individuals to stream for free online through thorough online marketing campaigns.
