We are fundraising in honor of our son Noah. At 8 months, he was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor in his kidney. Unfortunately, it had completely taken over his kidney and he needed surgery to remove them both. He had Stage 1 cancer, but after the surgery, he didn’t need further treatment. Throughout this time, Noah never stopped smiling and being his happy self. The doctors and nurses were shocked at his positive mood despite what he was going through. The early detection of the tumor was a miracle. The oncologist told us that these types of tumors aren’t typically found until later, once they are more advanced. Noah definitely taught us all a lesson about being grateful for what we have and the importance of enjoying every moment. Currently, he continues to go through extensive testing and check-ups to ensure that there aren’t any other cancerous tumors growing. He is our warrior and continues to give my husband and I hope that everything is going to be okay. In September, it will be his 3-year surgery anniversary and we are blessed that he is healthy and strong. We are so proud to be his parents and can’t wait to see all of the amazing things he will accomplish in his life!
