2022-09-24 20:00:00America/Chicago20th Annual Mark Linder Walk for the Mind
The 20th annual Walk for the Mind will be Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Peoria. Registration will start June 27, 2022.
More information will be forthcoming.
2022 will become a great year! 20 years of walking to raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research and last year, a total of 1 million dollars has been given to brain tumor research!
In an effort to reach out to other brain tumor survivors and to help raise funds for brain tumor research, Mark Linder founded the Walk for the Mind in 2003. The Walk is a way to unite those individuals and their families as well as to raise funds to support brain tumor research in hopes to find a cure.
Sadly, Mark lost his battle in 2005 at the age of 31 but not before he got to see his vision making a difference. The 19th annual Walk for the Mind now attracts over 1100 participants from all over Central Illinois. All net proceeds are donated to the “Brain Tumor Research Program” at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.
