In the 6th grade, Janet wrote an essay about wanting to help Black people make more money, specifically Black women. She was eleven years old. She didn't have a plan or any idea what that dream would eventually become. She just knew she wanted to be part of something that made the lives of women and Black folks better.

Five years ago, a forgotten childhood dream intersected with discussions about navigating personal health challenges pushing an idea from words on a page to The GOOD Lounge, a space where women, people of color, and LGBTQ+ communities can get honest about finances, take care of our bodies, and be around people who understand exactly what we are carrying, without overexplaining. What started as a handful of people in a room is becoming something bigger and growing because the people who join us, continue to return.

To celebrate our growth and support more people, we want to expand our Wellness Reset. We want this to be intentional time and space where the caregivers who've spent years pouring into their families, their jobs, and their communities can receive. Not a one hour workshop squeezed between errands or a wellness tip on a slide... A day where nobody has to hold it together for anyone else. A day built entirely around how we can collectively press the reset button through movement, stillness, reflection, nourishment, and expanding our mindset in community — for the people who need it the most.

The GOOD Lounge exists because everyone deserves access to spaces built for their wellbeing.

Whatever you're able to give helps us get there — here's how your gift supports us:

$25 helps provide healthy bites and wellness shots that encourage trying new things
$50 equips 5 participants with a journal as they explore healthy habits
$100 creates a welcoming and meaningful wellness experience for participants seeking connection and support
$250 supports a wellness practitioner guiding a transformative experience
$500 expands the space for more participants to attend a Wellness Reset activation

That 11 year old girl couldn't have imagined what was possible. Give today, and help us turn a sixth grader's essay into a day that challenges us to pause, explore our relationship with our finances, and reset our minds and bodies.
