Paul Feilmann is a white community advocate who has been engaged for years in

advocacy across various areas, from reparations for African Americans and prison

reforms in the draconian Nebraska Department of Corrections to advancing individuals

and organizations by providing direct funding to low-income single mothers in the

community.

He spent considerable time sitting in front of the Nebraska Governors mansion, drawing

attention to issues related to poverty and jail reform, and worked with community

advocates to help the Omaha Plantation Housing Authority eliminate bed bugs in many

of the towers where senior citizens reside in Omaha. Nevertheless, Paul does not

belong to any groups or organizations and prefers to work independently.

One African American agency director painted him as a great white savior. Moreover,

several organizations could be considered part of the Nonprofit Industrial Complex. This

is often defined when most of their funds are acquired to help low-income and People of

Color. Yet they have no credible board members or senior staff in the nonprofits upper

management, while many reap six-figure incomes and have elite lifestyles. With a

history of living in the community of the oppressed, most of their staff are Becky,

Karens, do-nothing dark-skinned mascots who are voiceless and smug white

supremacy personalities who despise the people they are supposed to serve. We will

explore what drives Paul Feilmann and others to stay engaged after retirement and do

more in the struggle than some of the million-dollar nonprofits that have insignificant

effort to reverse the terrible conditions for many families.
