Our sweet boy Widget is currently in surgery — and we need your help now more than ever.

When Widget was rescued, we knew his injuries were serious. But once the surgical team began operating, they discovered his pelvis is far worse than originally thought. He now requires a full pelvic reconstruction to give him any chance at a pain-free, functional life.

Because of the complexity of his injuries, his medical costs have increased to $15,000.

This is devastating — but we are not giving up on him.

Meet Widget — a 13-week-old puppy with the heart of a warrior.

Widget was found alone and suffering after what we believe was a devastating car accident. He was likely run over and left to die. Thankfully, Animal Control stepped in and reached out to us for help — and we couldn’t turn our backs on him.

Despite unimaginable pain, Widget has been fighting like a champion. Our surgeon believes his injuries are about a week old, which means this brave little boy endured days of suffering on his own — and he still hasn’t given up.

Widget is currently battling:

A Femoral Head & Neck Ostectomy (Unilateral XS break)
A Femur Diaphyseal Fracture

The surgery to repair his leg will cost $10,000. It’s a major procedure, but the surgeon truly believes Widget is worth it — and that with this surgery, he can go on to live a completely normal, happy life.

We can’t give up on him. He deserves the chance to run, play, and grow up without pain. He deserves a future filled with love.

But we can’t do this alone.
