"No Visible Bruises: What We Don't Know About Domestic Violence Can Kill Us" - Rachel Snyder sits down virtually with Women Aware Board member and attorney Ellen Schwartz to share insights on the public health crisis that is domestic violence and affects 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men in the U.S. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions via Chat. Proceeds from the event support Women Aware's comprehensive services for individuals and families affected by domestic violence in Middlesex County, NJ.
Story
Each year, as the state-designated comprehensive domestic violence service agency for Middlesex County, we shelter 200 women and children in imminent danger, and serve an additional 1,800 women, children and men in safety net programs. Our comprehensive services provide support across the spectrum of client needs—from emergency crisis intervention to long-term efforts toward independent living:
