Some stories are hard to hear — but they are real, and they are happening in our own community.

Soroptimist International of Vacaville is donating backpacks through the Vacaville Police Department to bring comfort, dignity, and hope to survivors of human trafficking. Shockingly, some victims are as young as ten years old. When these young women are rescued, they often have nothing of their own — no belongings, no comforts, no sense of safety.

Together, we are creating emergency backpacks filled with essentials and compassion. Each backpack may include a sturdy school bag, sweatsuit, underwear, socks, personal hygiene items, and small comforts to remind them that they matter… that someone cares… that they are not alone.

This is more than a backpack.

It is a first step toward healing.

A reminder that a community stands beside them.
