Story

Trail Mixed Collective creates community, mentorship, courses, and more to encourage more womxn of color into outdoor sports. We're partnering with Climbers of Color to host the first all Womxn of Color 4-day Intro Mountaineering Course at Koma Kulshan (Mount Baker) July 9-12 2021, in part sponsored by Black Diamond.

We're looking to raise additional funds to provide more meaningful tuition scholarships to participants, to make our course more accessible to underrepresented communities. All donations will go directly to gear and guide fees for this course for 7 participants, 2 Trail Mixed trip hosts, and 3 guides.

The course will be led by 3 legendary guides:  Dawa Yangzum Sherpa - the first woman to become an International Mountain Guide from Nepal with summits of K2, Everest and many more, Mariko Ching - a seasoned mountaineer and cofounder of Climbers of Color, and Theresa Silveyra - a seasoned mountaineer and known for her 30 summits of Mt Hood before turning 30.
