It's hard to believe that Caleb is now 19.  I remember the day we got the diagnosis.  We had so much support but we knew no one that knew what we were actually going through and had walked in our shoes.  When Caleb was 2, we helped start Mended Little Hearts of San Antonio with a group of other heart moms we had finally been connected with.  Mended Little Hearts has become a big part of our family over the last 17 years.  I am so thankful that we have been able to be a support to others who walk similar journeys.

Now Caleb is benefiting from the support of Young Mended Hearts.  Monthly he signs on to a support group chat and it has made a huge difference in his recent heart health and recovery.  He has found a group of people like him that have and are walking in his shoes.
