Animal Program For Tweens & Teens
AUGUST 7 & 8
9 AM - 2 PM
Participants will care for rescued horses, goats, and donkeys while learning what it truly means to nurture, protect, and connect with farm animals. From mucking fields and bathing a horse, to making frozen treats for our herd and learning grooming and horse handling basics, each day is packed with hands-on fun and feel-good impact.
🧼 Participants will…
🐴 Learn barn safety and animal care through real rescue work
🎨 Paint a horse with washable paint and give them a bath
🥕 Make horse “ice pops” and serve them to our animals
🌱 Plant flowers to take home and remember their time at the sanctuary
🎨 Tie-dye personal items
🍦 Enjoy a lunch picnic and cool down with ice cream
🐐 Groom animals, fill hay nets, and get a horse-leading demo
🧩 Wind down with farm animal-themed games and creativity if the summer sun gets too hot
This is a meaningful, animal-filled experience built around compassion, connection, and confidence in a peaceful sanctuary setting. Your child will leave not only with new skills but with a deeper understanding of the lives they’re helping change.
For ages 10-14 years old, no prior experience is required.
