Updates

The 25th sends their thanks for their new power station and Starlink. Our GUR friends love their socks so much that they decided to show them off along with their generator, powerbanks, and clothing shipment.

This week:

$2 TACO Tuesday

Who here actually thought that the "ceasefire" was real? Anybody?

This week's $2 pack features a Ukraine mug and a hand-crocheted drawstring pouch. The sticker is signed by one of UFL's contacts and features the Donetsk Oblast [thing on the sticker]* and is rounded out by a patch that embodies a hope we all share.

*We're having a collective brainfart on the noun. Y'know. It's that big thing you see when you enter the oblast.

$5 Mix

The $5 pack this week is a mix; the 10th Brigade signed and gave us this flag in appreciation for our (plural - meaning all of us) help. It joins a patch from the 115th and a beautiful lapel pin from the 93rd. Lastly, the bottom patch reads "Anyone can offend me but not everyone can run away" 😄

In closing:

The recent russian attacks on Ukrainian energy and heating infrastructure are proving to be devastating. As many of you may not know, Ukraine follows the old soviet style of centralized heating, meaning that on large facility supplies heating to an entire district; individual buildings don't often have their own boilers.

Literally thousands of buildings across Ukraine are now freezing, which lines up terribly with the lack of electricity. Most of my friends in Ukraine only have random 2-4 hours of electricity per day, and the country is currently in the grip of a deep freeze.

We can't help the millions of Ukrainian civilians, but we can keep trying to keep the soldiers on the front lines operational. As you can see in UFL_Robin's post above, you all have an actual impact on real defender's lives. The outlook may appear bleak, but just as the sunflower rises from a winter field, so, too, will Ukraine regrow. You are all the tenders of that belief, and for that you my everlasting respect.
