Backpack Drive + Live Spelling Bee

Come see how much we all remember from grade school and give back to the community during the 5th Annual "Buzzed" Spelling Bee + Backpack Drive. Bring a backpack or buy a $20 ticket to join the live event sponsored by Align HCM. The first 75 attendees who donate get: BOGO beer from 81Bay (from a select menu), FREE bowl from Ciccio Cali, and multiple chances to win prizes from our awesome sponsors. Join us! Story
Studies show that when kids have new school supplies of their own:
Metropolitan Ministries works to get kids the supplies they need by providing backpacks, uniforms, and school supplies to more than 5,000 children annually.
We work to help them.
By hosting an annual live “Buzzed” Spelling Bee + Backpack Drive, we raise money to buy the items that students need most as they enter the new school year.
We've provided backpacks for over 1,080 kids, and we hope to add to that amount this year!
We have already collected over 200 backpacks this year thanks to our amazing sponsor Align HCM.
Now, we're ready to add to the pile. A donation of just $20 can buy a backpack for child in need!
