The Lighthouse Project is a year-round performing and media arts program dedicated to serving high school teens in distressed communities throughout the east end of Pittsburgh. Our mission is to provide a safe space for young people to explore their creative passions and develop valuable skills in various art forms such as music production, songwriting, visual arts, animation, graphic design, and deejaying. At the Lighthouse, we believe in the power of the arts to empower and transform individuals. Through our Visual and Audio arts programs, our dedicated teaching artists work tirelessly to help young people find their creative voice while building technical and transferable skills that can be applied in academic and career settings. One of our top priorities is to ensure that all young people have access to our programs, regardless of their financial circumstances. With the generous support of grant donors and community members like you, we are able to provide all of our programming absolutely free to youth participants. In addition to creative opportunities, we also provide dinner, transportation, and a safe space for our participants. We understand the importance of creating an environment where young people can thrive and feel supported in their artistic pursuits.
