Nicole Deneen's Story

I'm fundraising to support volunteer program development for long-term care communities, including the adoption and implementation of interactive platforms for volunteer education and consistent, up-to-date resources for leaders to use in volunteer management. Volunteers are true blessings to the communities they serve, and communities who serve older people are very fortunate to have compassionate, caring people that volunteer to serve our most fragile populations across the world. This is why it is so important to ensure that volunteers, residents, and staff have an enriching experience with their volunteer programs. Through a structured, researched approach to volunteer management, supported volunteers become empowered and equipped with the right knowledge and experiences which will, in turn, help long-term care communities fulfill their missions. Regardless of background, culture, custom, education, or experience, volunteers who serve with heart are what keep communities strong throughout the ebbs and flows of change within the healthcare system. We exist to support volunteers and volunteer managers, and promise to meet communities and volunteers alike where they are so all can benefit from this platform.
